Certainly no real risk of that for me in a straight line at ~320whp, but when I try to take some really aggressive flat-foot turns on pavement, sometimes it feels like the car goes limp; wonder if that's the diffs, allowing inside wheel spin, robbing torque from the outside wheels.

I've had my car out drifting in the snow a lot too, but I never noticed the open diffs spoiling any fun. It always seems like all four wheels are powered equally. (It's rubbish with the TC on though, I know that for sure.) Maybe the 'open' diffs just aren't that open/weak?

I guess I'm just desperately looking for yet another thing in my car that's horribly inferior and in need of an upgrade lol.
Normally the front and rear diffs are supplemented by the stability control activating the brakes on the side that is slipping. Sort of a wannabe limited slip. This is supposed to prevent 1 side from just spinning. Usually it works alright.

Now with the 6 speed an open center diff, then things did get pretty interesting. This sends basically all the power to one end (usually rear) if there is slippage. My car would get really squirrely when I floored it on the highway. With the DCCD Pro it is way more controlled.

you're definitely going to have traction issues now with that short wheel base.

Here's an interesting way to look at how my car has progressed over time

10/21/10: 239WHP / 259WTQ - Stock 2011 WRX
11/18/10: 251WHP / 294WTQ - Stage 1 ProTune
12/19/10: 275WHP / 316WTQ - Stage 2 ProTune
03/05/11: 338WHP / 381WTQ - E85 Tune
09/17/11: 426WHP / 438WTQ - 20G XTR @ 22psi
03/05/12: 463WHP / 468WTQ - 20G XTR @ 27psi
03/22/13: 576WHP / 530WTQ - PTE 6266 @ 29psi

Currently making ~600WHP @ 30-31psi

^ So in 5 years, your car will asymptotically approach 1100whp... just basic math. This should be good...

On a serious note, it's cool to see how the torque and horsepower flip, indicating that a large amount of your power increases are on account of the higher revs, since hp = torque x rpm, (in case anyone didn't know that... you'd be surprised.)

I think a linear fit was about 96% for the R^2 and that put 1000WHP at the beginning of 2016. Lol. Doubt that will happen.

The HP/TQ flip is an interesting note. It definitely shows a shift in the powerband. Top end!

Haha. I'm not anywhere near exponential growth! For that I would have to be well over 1,000 already!

Hehe. Maybe someday. Need to switch to forward facing carseat ...and get some more disposable income, lol.

I used my stock clutch even at my 400+ setup. Once I upped the boost and got closer to 500WTQ is when it started slipping instantly. For you I would probably get an ACT full face disk ACT HD pressure plate. Should be easy to drive and hold more than enough for your setup.

I swapped the springs in my TurboSmart EWG last night. My EWG is right on top so it was fairly easy to do without even removing single thing. It was just tedious trying to hold pressure on the top of the EWG and turn the spanner wrench in the tight space. Getting it back on was even more of a challenge. Two people would have made it a lot easier, but I was able to get it done myself. Here are some photos:

I switched from a Pink outer and Purple inner spring setup. This is "14psi" according to TurboSmart, but it did around 20-22psi on my setup. The new springs are Blue Outer and Red inner. They are rated at 21psi by TurboSmart. Once I got them in I did some pulls and was hitting 29psi on spring pressure! This is just about perfect for my setup. I'll probably throw the MBC back on to get a little more boost sometime.

Here's a photo of the vacuum line setup for spring pressure. Very short line!

We made it out to WI Dells last night. Two blocks from the hotel I hit a skunk! Car smells terrible. Came out this morning to find my plate is bent and upside down. Think it was the skunk or someone trying to steal my plate? Probably a vandal seeing how it is upside down and bent outwards.
