Haha. Not my wife. She was at home being not excited. That was a girlfriend of one of the guys that was with. She got a few rides and then got sick and hurled, haha. But I did kind of feel bad.

Can't wait for the package! Tell him to hurry up! Haha, jk.

No video of the days events? I'd really like to see your car in action.

We had 6 Go Pro's on various cars. They're being edited by a professional. Whenever it's done I'll be sure to post it. Probably won't be for a while though.

Ben, I just want to thank you for selling/sending me the GFB. It's in great condition and I'm surprised I feel a difference between shifts. This was intended to go on with a new turbo but I couldn't wait . I will leave positive feedback shortly.

You had the Tsudo quad tip, right? How was the sound and fit? I might pick one up used but I've heard there are fitment issues. It sees to be fairly quiet from what I can tell.

Did you get RS3's? And $80 back? I think I should have saved a few bucks and gotten those...

Still looking for ideas!

nope, just v12's. RS3's have been nowhere to be found for a couple months now unfortunately

i hope to grab some RS3's for my RX7 though, she's in pieces in my shop, so getting tires immediately isn't as much of a priority ha ha

Ah, OK. I was going to get Federal RSR 595's, but they're the same story. I think it's just the wrong time of year to buy sticky tires...

ha ha i was looking into those as well with no luck also really hard to find somewhere to ship them to canada for a decent price, very few places carry the federal's

i'm sure you'll be happy with your star specs. more $$ than the rs3's but you should get better grip AND better tread life, which is pretty hard to accomplish

I had the Star Specs on my BBS wheels last summer and I like them a lot. I hit the track last weekend and they were great. A lot, lot more grip compared to stock (I got to drive a 2011 WRX with stock wheels/tires/suspension as well). I've heard treadwear can be pretty bad with them though. That's one reason I was leaning towards the Federals. Supposed to be better. I didn't have my last set long enough to really see how they held up. Oh well. Time will tell.

well i've got my fingers crossed for you ha ha..

i'm basing my rs3 treadwear observations on my brother's evo 8 that barely got a whole summer out of a set (mind you, his car is very well acquainted with track and autox)

he's got starspecs for this summer, so we'll see how they last

I have no idea why I'm not subscribed to this...looks FANTASTIC as usual, xluben. IMO everything is perfect about the car as it is now. The wheels are just the right amount of sleeper to match the rest of the car. Nice work sir

I've heard mixed reviews on Star Specs. Some say they only last one summer, and some use them for much longer. I'm guessing it depends completely on how much track time they see.

Decided to go to something softer for daily use, that would still perform better than stock at the track. I was happy with the quality of the BC's, and they seemed to perform well at the track, but they were sometimes brutal around town. I posted some more thoughts on them here:

I've had this exhaust on my car for almost 2 years. It does take twisting and man power to get rear rear sections together tight. Just make sure you find the newer version(it has flex pipe at the end of the midpipe) It is really quite to compared to evrything else I have heard(and I'm catless)! No droning at all, its not raspy(at my power level). You can find videos in my thread!

My Star Specs are back on the car for third and maybe final summer. I feel as thou they lasted this long because I don't track my car. But I do drive pretty hard on the back roads. I like to play the 6 months on, 6 months off rule. Going between my winter and summers.

And between you and rsutton, your gonna make me try and blow my stock 08' motor Its got 43,000 on it and 23,000 of those are at 21psi. Knock on wood.....

The trick is to have a built motor ready and waiting.

I am getting the older one. My plan is to bolt the catback together off the car. That's what I've always done anyways. Hopefully the midpipe seals to the downpipe.

Sounds about right on the Star Specs. I do summer and winter wheels too but I've found that one hard track day is worth at least a few months of daily driving. Probably more.

Are you waiting until yours goes out? Or are you swapping it all now that the Dom 1.5 XTR is in? Did you do heads too or just a shortblock?

Building a shortblock and then just waiting. Might as well keep the miles off of it until something happens.
