Dang that sucks.

I find it hard to believe you don't have a backup plan already in the works though

Backup plan is to buy a commuter car that doesn't break all the time and maybe get project car someday.

idk...almost fell for this last time...I'm just getting the exact same vibe here...could be wrong since its hard to read into text, but yeah. Everyone knows 460whp is dangerous territory for a 5 speed, after the epic engine build with step by step pics this is very hard to believe.

Big bummer Ben, good luck in whatever you decide to do with the car or transmission.

I know it sucks that it blew up but you have to admit Xluben that you definitely had a pretty good run on the stock tranny with that kind of power. We are in different shoes but it just seems like you have already invested too much money just to sell it. I look forward to seeing what decision you make

I think the 490 ft-lbs of torque may have been the problem...

I also have an internet crush on this car. I hope the backup plan is already in place and this is all a hoax/prank to mess with our Quality of Life!

Possibly. It is only about 105% more torque than stock

well damn, i was always using your car as an example to prove the newer transmission were much stronger then the old ones. I guess it was a pretty good run since you made it a few months with close to 500ftlbs of tq. Hope to see a nicely built tranny in there soon!

Yeah, the torque might have been a bit too high, LOL. I do think the 08+ WRX tranny's (with the LGT gears) are going to be a bit stronger than the old ones, but they're nothing like the 6 speeds.
