JR swapped in an STI tranny, ask him if he has any more laying around. Perhaps u may get a good deal.

I should be good until built block and e85. The torque you were pushing was on the edge of the tranny I think. It held out a lot longer than the old ones would have. I bet one and two still look good. Too many 3rd gear pulls!

are the 6 speeds really that indestructible? no one ever has trouble with them at 500lb ft?

I only know of one across all forums and locally that has failed at any power level and driving style. They are know for being insanely stout.

Wow, sorry to hear about the tranny. I hope you keep the car and do ppg's or something. You have put too much time and money into the car to just sell it...

Xluben was "really pissed" when he blew his motor. We know how that turned out. I smell a 6 speed.

Dang. So you're really going to sell it? Please don't make me get my lawyer for the emotional distress the sale will cause me.

Dare I see a GTR in your future? Dew eet!

I've thought of dumping $4k into my baby to get to around 360-380 reliable non-corn HP, but meh... better route would be an economical DD beater and then get a supah-cah!!!

Haha. Wow. Nope. Maybe an 07 Civic for daily and a Miata or something for track.

I've been considering selling my STi and keeping my Corolla for daily until the next gen or whatever. If you go through with your move, it might just give me more reason to do the same.

I expected the transmission to break sooner than it did... Anyone else think the same? I mean you had to see it coming. No reason to be upset.

You gotta pay to play.

Sorry Ben. :bighug:
