Yeah, it does sound kind of like a siren. She doesn't like it much. She said it sounds like it's broken. But it's only in 1st, so normally you only hear it for a few seconds, and not at all while cruising.

I tried to go out and get mine done today...not an easy task in Alpharetta, GA. I might try to go out later when I know there are no cars anywhere.

Just gotta explain that it's not broken, it's custom. And I wasn't cheap getting it to sound like that.

I timed it at 4.8-4.9 seconds, but I didn't look too hard. In my older video when I revved it out to over 7k (and could make 100mph in 3rd gear) my time was 4.5 seconds. That extra shift costs me about 1/3 of a second it appears.

Here are some of my other times. My 5.3 second time did over 400WHP on Virtual Dyno, so I'm guessing you'll be around there or possibly slightly higher? I did have to shift into 4th for that one, so it should be comparable to yours in that regard (unless you rev over 7k).

1999 Accord - 4cyl - 5 speed - NA - 15.6 seconds
2011 WRX - Stock Turbo - E85 - 20psi - 7.5 seconds
2011 WRX - 20G XTR - E85 - 24psi - 5.3 seconds
2011 WRX - 20G XTR - E85 - 27psi - 4.5 seconds

With all the swaps, and taking it on and off for clutch and tranny swapping, I've probably taken it off close to 20 times now. It's pretty simple, lol.

I have broken two exhaust bolts and one for the turbo do downpipe. Maybe I need to swap more often.....

That's exactly what you do if you're going to do a road dyno and want to check if the road is flat. Do one run each way and see how they read compared to each other.

True. Not so good for running times though...well at least on the roads around here. Too much of a grade change.

You jinxed me! I went to replace my header gaskets last night (thought I had a leak) and I snapped a header to uppipe bolt! What a pain. Car is running great now. Just stayed up a little later than I would have liked...

Dyno's numbers can't be compared across the country. Road logs and 50-100mph times (and actual 1/4 mile times) can.

I meant for the tuning. Ideally, we would all need to run the same road at the same time just like a dyno comparison would need to be done. Outside temps, road conditions, elevation and other factors all play into a 50-100 mph pull and 1/4 mile runs just as they do with dyno pulls. It is fun to do though...and I need to get out and find a clean stretch of road to do mine.

I can tell you my car isn't as happy right now with 100 degree heat with 90+% humidity. I can't wait for that first crisp 70 degree day...I won't be getting out of the car other than to pump gas.

Outside factors certainly make a difference, but with 50-100mph and 1/4 you can tell who's car is actually faster, with that person driving it, in the climate that they drive in. It doesn't really matter though. It's just for fun. It's been 90-100F in MN for the last few weeks too. Not much fun, and not good for going fast

Do you use anti seize on the bolts for exhaust?
