I'm surprised how popular this thread is on here compared to SF.org! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I got no response over there about the DP! Although I bet most Forester owners really don't even think about performance mods. Just wait until I post pics of the Header/Uppipe combo!

Nope not me. Dale is GarageXti over there, but he is a major part of my company. Dale is an idea person and designer for my company and we work together to get things made into prototypes, then full on production pieces after we find a way to get these crazy ideas made into reality!

Picked up one of these to mate the 3" DP to my OEM STI exhaust. Its made by Elite AWD. Looks like a really nice piece. Subimods already got it shipped out this morning and I placed the order on Saturday!

Rallysportdirect has a great video showing the part in detail: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Elit...u-Turbo-Models

I must have missed the thread on SF.org, most of us prefer SF.org over Nasioc. It's a little friendlier

As for performance mods, I think it depends, since there is a broad spectrum of forester owners.(SUV buyers, older folks ect..) But for me trading in my 06 for the Forester was simple, all my mods from the 06 swapped right on to the Forester, it was $800 less a year in insurance and sooo much more versatile!

As for this thread the DP looks fantasic! Would there be a huge performance gain over say my ERZ downpipe? (standard bellmouth to 3'' all the way back) It seems that the Moore DP would be a lot more expensive for a part that really can't be seen, but if it offered a lot more HP..then it would be worth it.

I think about power mods

Proof; just bought this Evo III 16g today

(: and btw. I'm pretty sure it's Safe to say that's the illest forester I've seen ..... Ever....

Nice looking DP BTW

I just looked up an ERZ downpipe to see what the difference would be. The ERZ downpipes dont have a flex joint and dont use a high quality cat. Just the two of those parts alone make the Moore Performance downpipe worth $700. The separate internal waste gate tube will help with boost control and boost spiking issues. It will give you some horsepower gain but the features are really what makes this downpipe stand apart from the rest. The fact that the downpipe is modular and comes with a cat and test pipe that would only take minutes to swap is just awesome.

It is very easy to make large amounts of horsepower with inexpensive parts, the difference comes in how easy your car is to tune and how consistent your car will be. When the car is all said and done its all the little details that come together to make the top cars what they are.

Here is a pic of the matrix style high flow 3" cat, this quality is not something you see everyday:

Again let me reiterate to other forum members...I did extensive research on downpipes/exhaust when I decided to modify my WRX. The Moore Performance pieces not only had exemplary build quality and modularity, but they show proper understanding of exhaust theory. Specifically in reference to the true divorced wastegate downpipe. The ONLY reason I went with the Invidia DWG DP was because it was on sale, I couldn't wait any longer, and it was a semi-DWG DP with a cat.

You gotta PAY to PlAY. Recommending cheapo ebayish stuff always pisses me off. Moore Performance isn't some importer, they're hard working Americans like you and me. I don't about y'all, but I always prefer to support American vendors. (Yeah the car's Japanese and I bought a Japanese tuner brand dp...) There's quite a few vendor/manufacturers of this sort on this board, and they provide ALOT to the community.

^^^^^ Agree'd

Here is a quick pic of the turbo and TMIC I am using, the TMIC is already on the car. The turbo is waiting for the Moore Performance Header/Up-pipe combo!

The turbo is a Blouch TD05H-16G that is thermal coated and worked over a bit. The TMIC is an STI unit that is coated to transfer heat more efficiently.

I took some quick preview shots of the Uppipe that is almost finished. The turbo side flange still needs welded along with a couple other things.

The uppipe uses the same headers as the standard Moore Performance twin scroll setup:

The dual uppipe in the above photo will be replaced with this one:

These are just some teaser photos and I will go into more details as we get closer to putting everything together!

Thanks guys! I can't claim the welding or the design work on this one. Dale at Moore Performance is the one putting this all together! I can't believe these guys are crazy enough to make something this awesome an actual production part!

Header Photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The header has been sand blasted and is about to be ceramic coated. I also grabbed a random stock flange hot side to mock it up with the downpipe!

Enjoy:
