Default Warranty with a turbo 2.5RS?

This may or may not have been asked a million times on this forum. I'm not familiar with this section as this is my first post here so go easy on me...

Alright, I own a 2002 Impreza 2.5RS. I was wondering what exactly turbocharging my engine would do to my warranty. I'm not very familiar with the warranty since I bought my car used (dealer car). I'm trying to line up my future mods and was wondering if a turbo could fit into the lineup without hurting my warranty. Thanks.

Adding a turbo is the best way to destroy your warranty. If you have any desire to keep your warranty, do not mod your car. Or, at least do mods that you can easily remove if you do require some service in the future. And finding a mod-friendly dealer helps, but I don't know of any dealer that would warranty a turbo'd RS.

Hey Noob lighten up its a joke. A turbo will destroy almost every part of your warranty ( possibly even your rust perf if you with a FMIC) No drivetrain warranty no suspension warranty ( not like you will be using stock suspension with a turbo anyway)

Why not trade for a WRX? It will be much cheaper, and you seem like the person who actually wants a warranty but a bit of speed.

There is absolutely no point in radically modifying a brand new car IMO. Get a car that suits you, then drive it ALOT and slowly build it up. Then the warranty will be ending by the time you will probably be thinking about doing anything drastic.
