Default P0302 misfire code

Hey guys,
so i changed my spark plugs last night, everything went well and the car performed great, nice and smooth and no hiccups last night.

this morning i go to start my car and notice its sounding a little rough, i pull out to go to work (2 km) and i have a harsh misfire from #2 cylinder. so i pull over, take the accessport out and clear ecu. start the car back up and it ran fine all the way to work even with boost.

has anyone ever experienced this before? its odd that it went away after resetting ecu.

hmm...Do you have a TBE or an up-pipe installed? I know with my up-pipe,DP or intake that I am constantly throwing "misfire" codes. Only under WOT from 4500 up... More info would help out..

yes im stage 2 with up pipe, this has never happened before and once the vehicle is warmed up there is no misfire what so ever, even under high rpm, high load.

very confusing, im going to tear the car down tomorrow morning and see whats going on.

Just adding to the troubleshooting database....

I was cruising along at 45mph, when my car stuttered a few times, and then started shaking with a huge loss in power. The car would run, it would idle without dying, but it definitely had a problem. I read the code and it popped a p0302, cylinder 2 misfire, and that's it. So i changed the spark plugs, and no dice. Got ahold of a few working Coils, but decided before i put new ones in, i should swap the coil from cylinder 2 to cylinder 4 to see if the gripe followed. Started the car up, and the problem went away. My guess is there was a poor electrical connection somewhere, but i'm taking it easy for a bit just to make sure. Hope this helps everyone out there that comes up with this problem.

Just to add, my cousins 06 wrx had a misfire on cylinder 2 and he just kept driving it like that for the rest of the day and now he has a blown motor.... when we went to do a compression test we noticed that the wire that clips into the coil pack was loose on cylinder 2... so that would be somthing to check
