I'm not sure if they are a lot better than the stock sti brakes since I have never owned those but I know they are a lot better than the stock 06-07 wrx brakes. They only reason I am selling them is because I am trading the car in. I would presume they are better than stock sti brakes due to the bigger two piece floating rotors and the calipers are extremely light.

For an 06 wrx does anything need to be done to put these on? How much bigger are they compared to stock brakes wrx brakes? Is Bigger master cylinder needed? Also with abs won't it make braking worse? Not bashing just curious. I'm very interested not trying to waste time.

Im not sure what size the stock ones are but the brembos are bigger. 328mm diameter and all hardware needed to install is included. This kit is a bolt on kit and is designed to work with the stock master cylinder. I hope this kinda answers your questions. I'm not a real technical person, so im not sure how to answer you abs quesion. I just know the brakes are a lot lighter than the stock 06-07 calipers and they stops better than when I had the stock 06-07 brakes. The only reason I am selling them is because I am selling or trading the car in for a bigger car.

Here is a exert from the brembo site
