Default 2003 wrx hood scoop advice

I just had this on my car, and i just swapped for a stock hood and scoop.

I don't really like the sti 02-03 scoop, i like the 04-05 scoops better. I understand i need a replica because they wont fit. All i can find is the mrt one for $280 unpainted and an ebay one for 1/4 of the price. I understand some people like ebay and some people hate it. Here is a link to two scoops I found on ebay, please give thoughts toward these scoops, and not at my choices.

Also is it easy to paint carbon fiber, or would it be better to just paint a plastic scoop?

get the 02-03 JDM STi hood scoop. The 04-05 will look bad on the bugeye. But to each to their own.

I knew j-spec had that one, but that is quite expensive. I may just get http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/body.htm JDM STi-Style HOOD SCOOP and paint it

from the looks of it, it looks unpainted and it doesn't say anywhere that it does come painted...

No one likes this look... http://www.flickr.com/photos/4924122...n/photostream/

Professionally painted with the highest quality DuPont Automotive paint. TWO layers are applied and a clear coat finishes off the production.

and you get to pick what color you want it in. idk how you missed that lol

also ....

7/10/2010 update - the following hood scoop colors are in stock ready to ship: PSM, WRB, Obsidian Black Pearl and Java Black Pearl.
