Question 3" stainless mandrel bends

looking for a source of 3" stainless mandrel bends.

16 or 18 ga. (pref. 18ga.)

90deg. or 180deg. (pref. 180deg.)

I've looked around for web sites that offer them, with few good hits in my searches.

thanks, Caine

That's funny Tom! You've mentioned the only 2 that I have any knowlage of!!!

A guy I know does custom fab/cage/engine/the whole 9 for Porche/BMW/Mitsu and to satisfy his Porche customers he uses nothing but the best, and he uses Burns!!

A friend and I made a cat back for his RS and he ordered 2.5" ss bends from Jegs or Summit (can't rem. witch) and I burnt so many holes in that exhaust, trying to butt weld nice round pipe to gheto bends full of flat spots!!

He wondered why the price was so low, then they showed up with "DynoMax" stickers on them!!!! From now on I too would rather throw them away than make something that looks so crapy by the time your done filling holes. (not gonna do that again!!)

But to answer you ques. I was hopeing to find a happy balance between $85 (Burns 3" 16ga. SS "U") and DynoMax TRASH!

I want it to be a good job but I don't think I NEED the BEST.

Thanks, Caine

I have very little experience with tubing from places, but I'm sure you can find some decent places with decent prices here -- Google Search

Tom, Jegs sells Mandrals from two different companies. One is quite good, and the other is barely better than getting a bunch made at "jim bob's exaust shop"
