Default 93 turbo Legacy modded

Mods include custom water to air intercooler, HKS ssqv blow off, MBC set to 13lbs, 3 inch turbo back exhaust.

Issues I'm having after recirc valve removed, burns lots of fuel, what can I do? ECU?

Auto tranny has to go, will any Subaru 5 speed tranny work? Also would like to do tranny swap as well as rear and center LSD diffs

Any help with where and what I will need is greatly appreciated

Is your hks recirculating? As I have just recently found out that on my 91 ss it goes full rich as the valve opens, I have mine going atmospheric.
There are a few options on swapping in a 5spd trans. the few options are a 2.5 rs, wrx, sti. there are the n/a 2.2 and 1.8 trannys but those are a different style they're a pull type cable clutch. the turbo and 2.5rs trans are a push type using a hydraulic set up(master cylinder, slave cylinder) what ever tranny you decide to use make sure the trans and diff are the same. All of them bolt up to any ej series. If you go with a 02-04? wrx trans re-use your drive shaft and have the pinion flange from the old 4eat rear diff. also be prepared with the neutral safety switch it will not go back onto a 5spd trans and you have to keep it, in order to do anything with the car. Just put the switch into the park or neutral position. For the rear diff you'll need to figure out what axles to use if you go to a newer rear end from 97+ uses the R180 diff. A 97+ legacy rear axles will work in a wrx rear diff and will allow you to keep your rear hubs intact.

Also the BC body already has holes in the firewall to install a master cylinder, you also need a pedal assembly for a 5spd trans, and the slave cylinder with the clutch hose.

I believe that you'll need to use the same pedal assembly as the tranny you use, I'm not sure that you can use a pull type with a push type assembly. so tleg with tleg, or wrx with wrx.

Yeah, i had the same issues with my wrx swap, had a couple of BOV's that went full VTA, the MAF sensor just doesn't like having such a drastic loss in air. If you still want the "whoosh" switch to at least a partial recirc BOV like GoFastBits one.

Though now I have a Greddy BOV on full recirc and I still get a nice "whoosh" on shifts FWIW. Your SSQV should still make some noise even when its recirculating.

Thanks I'll do that, I'm looking at 96 outback wagon for a $1000 tonight anyone have any suggestions on what to look for. It's a bit rusty near fenders and has 272,000kms on it.
