Default VSS for a 00-04 BE BH

Hi there, have some trouble wiring my new cluster.

I have a 5mt 2002 Outback ,and the cluster is from a B4 JDM auto car.

I did all the wiring, everything works ( Tach, all the lights, fuel, etc) except the damn speed.

I can't find the VSS pinout on the cluster of the US car ( and maybe the JDM is wrong?)

Anyone knows the pinout?

Thanks alot!

Guillaume

Based on my pdf, I want to say it's the USDM pin in A2. Can you unplug A2 and put the USDM cluster in and test speed?

Yep its A2! Lifted the car and went to see on the VSS on the transmission ,and it goes to A2!

Fibuz, what PDF are you talking about? Because in your PDF of AzAWD, i don't see any A2..

The A2 pin is not workin on the A11 of the JDM black faced..

A2 IS the VSS, but do you know where it should plug on the JDM one? ( Not A11)

For some reason they get entered as "Video" but they are just Images off photobucket... The last diagram shows A11 is the corect Speed sensor for the JDM cluster... Your US one might be incorrect then or your pin isn't wired in making a connection so check your pin length and connections. REMEMBER PIN NUMBERS ARE DIFFERENT ON A COUPLE PLUGS DUE TO AMMOUNT OF PINS.

This one shows A11 is the Speed Control

All of the pin's are in my pdf(the one you linked to on azawd in the other thread). It is highlighted in yellow, which i labeled as not in use, but I can't remember why. Maybe it was a mistake. I have a corresponding JDM pin there too, which is c something.
