Default light tire and rim set up

first question, is buying more expensive lighter rims worth the extra performance or should one go with looks and price.

second how light is too light im looking at kosei k1 ts rims that are 14.6 pounds but im afraid that the first pot hole i hit there going to fold like aluminum foil any ideas?

17x7 wheels are a waste of time unless you are using them for winter use

+1.

I think the lighter OZ's and the Kosei's are too light for DD use. I have seen a lot that are bent from hitting potholes. If you live in a area with good roads that might not be a problem. For a 17" x 8" wheel I wouldn't go any lighter than 18lbs for a DD. That is just my opinion.

For my autoX car my 14lb 16" x 10" wheels are great.
