Default 00 Leggy gt lim

I have been reading through the forum and I understand that this might not be the right place to post this; however what is the largest tire I can use on a 00 leg gt lim to get away from these low profile tires?

I'm running a 205/70R15 right now on my 2000 Legacy GT. They are about the farthest away from low profile as you can get. On a 16" wheel you could probably get away with a 205/65R16. A 205/60R16 would easily fit. All of these assume stock suspension.

What is the reason you want larger profile tires? If it's a ride quality issue I would bet it's more due to the type of tire you have than the sidewall. Performance tires have stiffer sidewalls than all seasons and touring tires and will cause a rougher ride.

BTW- this is definitely the right place.

Speedy, my driveway is a 3 mile long dirt road that gets pretty rough at certain times. My wife has not had good luck with tires and the only thing I can think of is the low profile status. We get a lot of low pressure, flats and the such. I am on stock suspension and just want a higher sidewall to handle things such as rocks and put holes without jarring a low profile from the rima dn letting air escape.

edit, ride quality is not an issue, just looking for the best dang tire I can get without switching to a full blown winter tire

Cool- I'd go with the 205/65R16 if I were you.
