Default Turbo info: need help

Do you have to have the screen in the oil line to the turbo?? Or can you remove it and not harm your turbo? It got plugged and took out my last turbo and I was told it could be taken out without harming it.

take it out. reminds me, i need to do this.

or if you don't take it out make sure to remove it and clean it and inspect it at every oil change, or in other words, just get rid of it.
the vf turbos don't have anything special about them different from another turbo that they would need an extra filter. it was jsut subaru's idea to keep stuff out of the turbo, but when the filter gets clogged with sludge oil then the turbo spins it's bearings and eats itself alive.

no bueno
