Whatever you do, I'd recommend doing the powertrain swap before getting into exterior/interior stuff. They are way more meaningful upgrades, and you could become hell of a sleeper before getting into exterior/interior mods. Also personally, my preferences towards exterior mods change quite often, so I recommend taking your time and do enough research to go with what you find suit you best for everything you do to your car. I bought my first gc8 when I was 18, and if I could do it over, I would have saved enough money to do a full STI engine and drivetrain swap instead of getting some of the useless crap. It will probably take years, but you are still young and you can make that car into a beast inside beauty outside!

The only reason I'd go down the carbon fiber path is because I haven't even seen anyone else do it before.

The best mod you can make to this car starts with what's behind the wheel.

Try to find some High Performance Driving Schools in your area and attend one. You could even learn a lot from attending a couple of AutoX events.

Good luck and have fun!

Before I do any form of autocross, I would like to upgrade the brakes and suspension. But I need some recommended handling parts. Does anybody have any ideas?

Good pads and brake fluid for the brake upgrade. Do you have stock brakes and suspension? If so, I don't think bringtons come with a rear swaybar so I'd look into one, and upgrade your endlinks. However I wouldn't go crazy with the swaybars because there are more important suspension mods you should do first, which are tires and alignment. These two will affect the handling the most. Like someone else already mentioned, go to driving school or start going to autocross events to learn to become a better driver. I recommend to mod other things after you drive well and feel like your setup is limiting you, which I regret not doing with my car. I think that way you would appreciate the mods more.

Everything on the car is stock besides:
eBay cold air intake
eBay front strut tie bar
Idk what the rims are.

Edit: I'm thinking of painting the rims white or gold.

Edit: Tomorrow taking normal shots for the photoshop thread. Trying to see what the rims would look like if I were to paint them white or gold.

So I took the molding off. I covered the holes up with electric tape, And those 2 plastic things aren't coming out! But I have a question about the light blue plastic thing that's in the very last hole, how would I remove that?

Also water somehow found its way into my left taillight.

I drove my dads '05 STi today, it was... different.
I snubbed it twice thanks to his racing clutch and lightened flywheel. It definitely would take some getting used to. Here it is...

(the covers are missing because one blew off in a storm, and it looked weird with just one so he took the other off. I think it looks kind of mean like that. )
On the drive we stopped at a Porsche dealership after hours to stare at the 911s and whatnot.

It was a pretty good night.

Turns out, I can't get it welded just yet. Does anybody know where I can get the trim molding again? I stupidly threw it away thinking that I could get the holes welded shut right away.

Edit: I got these headlights...

and I got black carpet from FastWRX.com
Where can I get new floor mats?

And the reason I'm getting all exterior parts that don't do anything for the car is because my mom doesn't want me driving a fast car, which I understand. But I told her, "I'm not stupid, I respect my car, I'm not going to wrap it around a tree anytime soon." B|

Edit: I was showing the .5 inch gap between the back seat.
Planning on taking the door panels off and putting the STi suede on it to give it an updated look.

Haha, I honestly don't know what I'd do if he gave me his car. Tear it apart and swap everything to the Brighton? Or just drive the 2005 STi.

Anyways, the other day I was just cruising around and I glanced down and I seen 149,555 miles. So I pulled over and took a picture.

I want to lower it next but I had a guy on Ebay offer to make me a replica STi Sports bumper for 220 dollars. Not a bad deal. Just need to get some money.

Car doesn't go into reverse now. What do I do?

Edit: fixed. Not really fixed, it's just working again. But it grinds every time it goes into reverse.
