Those photos bring back (not-so-fond) memories of my adventure. Lets not do that again.......well not with my car....now someone elses....hehehe sure why not

I wish I had a photo of how my interior looked like after you guys tore everything out. I've seem full on rally cars with more interior pieces still intact.......also it looks like Adam (the Jedi Knight) has gotten the wiring down better. Mine was spread all over. It amazes me every day that I was able to put it all back together.

You know

I didn't realize Adams shop was such a mess........

hope you get it all back together by Sat. Got to see #4 in the family. We only need to do a green and white Impreza to have a complete set.

Cheers

EddyL.

NO id didn't get a ticket. he let me go and told me to SLOW down

Basically I was sooo tired that I was falling asleep ( working for ~ 27 hrs (car stuff and regular job)) )at the wheel. I decided to wake myself up by drinking a liter of water I had. So, instead of being tired...now I gotta take a MASSIVE piss. Not 1 dam exit witha gas station/rest-stop for 20 miles

so I am speeding home...alomst ...there...must ...hold ...on

Perhaps it was the lack of sleep or pure frustration but I got the idea to pee in the bottle. I unzipped my pants grabbed the bottle and then smokey flashed his reds.

Now, there I sit, pants unzipped, bloodshot eyes, grease and dirt in my hair, and just looking like hell. Smokey looks at me up and down and says," do you have anything, a license, paperwork...anything!?". Then I say, "i know I was speeding, but you are not really going to believe THIS." I told him my situation (up all night working on this car, asleep at the wheel, and now i am ready to pee in this bottle...)
HE looked at me, snickered/laughed at just told me to slow down...SLOW down.
Then he left...still chuckling.

If I only had a picture of what I looked like when he saw me. I must admit it was probably pretty funny.

christoph -- how difficult was the wiring harness to work with? i've got a 94 WRX ecu sitting here, and was wondering how huge of a hassle it is to get everything running. that (and a little $$$) are all that's holding me back from making a scary torque steering FWD rocket sled saab-aru. with the stock L body work of course.

as for the tranny, provided you don't beat on it hard (i.e. drag launches), you should be fine. a friend of mine just did a B4 swap (converted to single turbo, and somehow miraculously running off the 1.8 ECU), and dropped it in a 96 brighton, and his 1.8 tranny with about 100,000 miles on it is still fine, even after several auto-x's.

I think ive heard rumors that a certain rally team in the U.S. has had the best luck with older rebuilt L transmitions.
Im not sure of the year of eact model, but ive heard they might be pretty good for "overuse" none are good for ab-use
that said, ill give it a year.
