Default IL: 2004 WRX Wagon - Stage 2.5 (275 whp)

SOLD!

For Sale: 2004 Subaru WRX Wagon Stage 2.5 - FAST!(Java Black).
Miles: 73,xxx
Location: Chicago, IL

Disclaimer:
  • Not interested in trades -- I already have another car picked out.

Description:
I purchased this pocket rocket in May 2005 with 27,xxx miles from the original owner. It runs very well and the exhaust gives it a nice low pitched grumble. I have driven it conservatively and have never launched it or taken it to a track -- I've taken very good care of this car. Most of the miles I put on it are highway miles. There are around $6k in tasteful performance upgrades...I chose each upgrade carefully and did a lot of research and spoke with experts before deciding the best option. Most of the upgrades were done around the 50k miles range. All upgrades and tuning have been performed by the local WRX pros at P&L Motorsports (I have all receipts).

I would love to keep this great car, but I have to consolidate cars and buy a car with automatic transmission (I wouldn't let my girlfriend learn how to drive a manual with my WRX!).

Upgrades – Stage 2.5:
  • TurboXS Turboback Exhaust (TBE) ($1150)
  • VF43 Turbo ($1200)
  • STI Intercooler & Y-Pipe ($550)
  • Perrin Turbo Inlet Hose ($230)
  • Exedy Stage 1 Clutch ($540)
  • Cobb AccessPort v1 ($350)
  • Custom one piece Headers and Catless Flex Uppipe ($200)
  • Whiteline Steering Bushings ($70)
  • Whiteline Front Endlinks ($100)
  • Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump ($90)
  • R&R Spark Plugs ($110)
  • Agency Power Lightweight Crank Pulley ($130)
  • Tuned to 93 octane by Jorge at P&L Motorsports ($200)

Cosmetic issues:
  • It has some body damage on the right rear door from a car running into me the day after I bought the car...I've had multiple estimates and can give you quotes to fix all of the damage.
  • A handful of dings and scratches.
  • Previous owner smoked and left a few burn holes in the seats.
  • Passenger side window switch needs to be cleaned out...it only works sometimes.

I've had a couple people ask about fixing up the body on the car...the body shop I talked to said everything can be fixed for $1050 plus the cost of a new rear right door. I am willing to have this done before purchase, but would add the cost of the repairs to the price of the car.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards,
Dan

I would have loved to buy this wagon a few years ago. Clean car, minus the damage. Bump!

They were running a special at the time (December 2007) for tuning, but if you actually add up all of the cost of the tune (pre-tune inspection, etc.), it was more than $200. I have all of the receipts for everything done at P&L.

Interesting choice of tires. I sold my '04 WRX to a guy in Chicago with about the same amount of miles on it a few years ago, but upon further inspection, this isn't it.

Good luck with your sale.

The tires were one of the highest rated all-seasons on TireRack.com, which is why I chose them...I have been impressed with how little they've worn for the miles I've put on them. I bought my car when I lived in Philly, but brought it to Chicago with me when I moved here in '04.

bump!
