Post something that is supposed to make your car invisible to radar?

anyone ever hear of this, and or, know if it works at all? By the way, I don't work for the company or anything, so I'm not pushing the product. I found it on accident when looking through a technology site

Hard to read about it with the zillion pop-up windows. I thought I was at a porn site

I've seen tests on that unit and it doesn't work. If it did it would be illegal anyway on a Federal level. The only ones that do you can get the plans for and build yourself. And like I said if you can get caught with it and fined. It's legal to receive any signal but not transmit them.

Is it a "jammer"?

If so, it is illegal on two levels: FCC and interference with law enforcement. A jammer also acts like a homing beacon in case they want to track you down.

Do you really want to be invisible to cops? Get a newish white or biege station wagon, keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you, and drive 5 MPH over the speed limit -- you will never get pulled over.

Alternatively, get a high quality radar detector and pick your battles carefully.

That device is a piece of junk. There have been several tests done on it, and the only affect that it has on the police radar is to slightly INCREASE the range that the police radar can start tracking your speed. The company occasionally changes their name and the name of the device, but it is still the same old scam.

It takes more than just the stealth paint to make a vehicle invisible to radar, it takes a lot of computer power to get the shape right, and still have something that will work. That is why the original stealth planes were so ugly, the computing power necessary to make a plane with rounded lines stealthy was not available when they were designed.

On the other hand, you could paint your car with the IR-supressing paint that the Navy uses. That might make it more difficult to get a reading with a laser speed gun

Cool

Someone told me that's the real reason liscence plates are required on the front of cars (at least in CA). Because they better reflect the radar or laser. Probably just a conspiracy theory.
