either the dyno reads not right or that really is your power band.
Still not the final tune??? need to try and bring up the lower end because most cars that are 500whp like say a Mustang/Camaro/Vette will jump you quickly and will stay ahead quite a bit.

From reading other threads, that is the best tune he can get at this time because of it blowing out the spark at high boost and richer fuel numbers.... HKS ignition booster is not enough..... he can't enrichen the fuel mixture to make more power and earlier without it blowing the spark out...

running STI coils and E85 puts a huge load on the ignition system..... when you consider that this was at 28psi and the target max goal was for over 35psi if he can get the ignition system to handle the fueling and boost loads....

this is another reason he is looking at one of the new Borg Warner turbos also, to get more powerband out of it....

Besides, I kinda like how it climbs 200+WHP per every 1,000 RPM above 6,000 RPM ...

And think of it like this, there are several 35R cars that don't spool well until 4,000 rpm and shift at 6,800-7,000 , so there is still only 2,800-3,000 rpm worth of powerband, just like this engine, it just comes in a little later....

Also, notice the Direct port N20 system....

It hasn't been used yet to help spool up the turbo sooner....

everyone knows that works well...

SLEDGEHAMMER!!!!!

I also like that rotated setup Shug!!

I may aim for something like that with a T67 and a cartech intercooler if I have room.... on a FXT..... For fun!

I know its not a subi but you wanted to know what a real sleeper is there you go.
It chases down bolt on Evo's Sti's at Thunderhill then drives home

Im pretty sure I could take a 500whp mustang/camaro/vette. I ran this car against a new z06 with a tune on the highway and pulled on him very easily once I got into boost. From 4th to 5th I put probably 3 cars on him before I let out. I wait for boost once. Thats is. Think about it this way with 22psi and bouncing off the rev limiter I went from 90mph in the 1/8th to 125mph in the 1/4. 35mph in the back half isnt too bad especially considering that I hit the rev limiter and fell out of boost briefly because of this. I ran such a slow time because I had a 2.5 60ft. Plus, it was my first time driving the car down the track and shifting like a granny. Track closed after my first run that day due to the rain.

Surprised this hasn't been posted... Also not a Subi, but defines a true sleeper (for those still struggling with the definition):

1160+hp, worn out bench seat etc

God damn dude, this thing is dope. Kudos. Wagons/outbacks make the best sleepers around. Nobody ever sees it coming.

Best shot I have of how the car kind of looks like when its moving from the front:

And how it looks when moving from the back:

Sleeper look:
No STI badging anywhere (even inside)
Tinted windows
CF wingless trunk painted body colour
No front lip, no body modifications
Small exhaust tip, looks brown/not shiny (rarely washed)
Rims and brake calipers rarely washed (keeps it dirty, hard to see brembos)

Fully built motor
29 psi on pump gas + meth = 575whp

11.24 on street tires and 18" rims:

+lots of stories where people will think it's just another stage 2 sti.

that's good. I hope you can get the issues solved!!!

I drove one of my friend's 600whp+ Precision 6262 EVO8 and waiting for the power was like... ekkkKKK. However when it actually swung into the RPMs at near 6000rpms, power came and off we went. That motor was built for 9000rpms as well on a 2.0L.

Good look!

Thanks man, I didnt even see this thread. Here is a quick shot of the updated setup, not really much to look at. Put down about 470whp like said above, and runs like a champ. All the tracks have closed up here in Mass, but Ill be bringing it to the 1320 first thing in the spring.
