And you're calling me a kid? You do realize most people make sleepers because they Street Rice on the regular...which only kids do. God you sound like Paul Walkers retarded cousin.

12's for a street car is fast numb nuts, especially when the douches are racing it on public roads.

Ok obviously your a little slow on the draw so let me help you. lets think outside your literal box for a sec then maybe you will comprehend. if you read my post... "you roll up in your assumed POS" meaning the person who has the faster/nicer/sportier/etc. looking car see's your car that looks like a stock to slightly modded wrx or any car for that matter(not you personally), they will say "wow this POS wants to race", its not a literal POS but to him compared to his yes its a POS but you blow the doors off him!

And if you look past your own face you will see my post immediatly after my first one pointing out the true sleeper cars in this thread!

and yes i'm calling you a child! b/c your mental capability portays nothing more. and bravo with the paul walker lines and F&F quotes you got me with those really those hit reall deep down...try again tool!

Noobs like you are making the subaru scene sway into what the honda/acura scene became! little boy racers like yourself and many others who buy a "fast" car and think "my****s the fastest car on the road" and telling stories of how they womped on some ricer douche or a middle aged man in his gt mustang.

I agree here.

You dont have to be packing a laundry bag behind your car for it to be "fast". Fast is very subjective to opinion, just like this thread.

Consider a Z06 that runs 11.7ish, but most Z06 drivers say mid to low 12's, also being a car that costs $80,000 and you keep up, or walk the guy...I know I would be making up excuses and be pissed off if I have a supercar that just got beat by something that looks like your wifes grocery getter.

We arent arguing what is fast or not, we are just showing our sleepers to admire them. Fast is something that you walk right past and dont notice the industrial sized turbo under the hood or something that looks benign but would sneak up behind you and kill you the first chance it got

but another thing is looks to....if your car looks like its from the late 80's early 90's its a better sleeper then a car like cubuff (even though his is redic. lol)

my idea is this

the older and uglier it looks and the more horsepower it has makes it a true sleeper

so like for instance a stock looking wrx that makes 500whp < 500whp toyato tercel

its basically living up to its name "Sleeper" being the most unsuspecting.

it also depends on your P.O.V. if your not into cars(Avg person) your term of a sleeper is different then some who eats/sleeps cars everyday

Evo's are not sleepers there know for being quick out of the box and easily modded to make 400whp

same with STi's, 350z,etc... 30k-50k$ japanese sports cars New....

outside the subie world that vr4 above is perfect...also 1gen talon/eclipses AWD 4g63 6 bolts look like hell and they can fly (i.e. they have tons of potential)

minus the wheels and FMIC
i agree with you on the point of some cars are more sleeper than others! but his point is that a standard stage 2 wrx is a sleeper, sorry not a chance. and no 12's on a street car is becoming quite common, i know more than a dozen who are daily drving 12 sec cars and some who daily mid to low 11's (none of them are sleepers at all.

I too agree that the older gen1 and some gen2 dsms are bat **** fast and look like hell. theres a guy with a 91 talon with rust on ever seem of the car and stock 16" wheels putting 700hp down. My friend growing up his dad has a notch back 5.0 that looks like **** but runs low 11's all day long. maybe the notch is less of a sleeper and more of a fast POS b/c it sounds rediculous when regular driving but i've seen the talon pull on a hayabussa on the highway from a 60mph roll. the bussa rider afterwards even said "wow i saw ur car was like was a ****box" but damn it moves! thats a sleeper.

The Volvette

It may have rims yes, but it just looks like some 16 year old kid inheritied it and threw rims on it to save the embarrasment of driving a Volvo.
Yet this thing is a monster. It may have hints of being a massive sleeper but it definately isnt ricey or has a big cowl induction hood. Definately a lot of respect for this car!

+1 to the 08-10 stage 2's being sleepers. They're the least attractive of the bunch, they look like corollas and when they slide into the 12's you've got yourself a mean DD.
That's exactly why I chose a 2010 over a 2011 model. 09+ have been known to make over 300+whp on a protuned stage 2 setup. No attention or any haters to key my car at the walmart parking lot. The only people that know my car is capable of running 12's are the enthusiasts, but even they look away because I drive the 4dr

please....find where I even remotely hinted at this...as you talk about "rollin up on some guy and blowin his doors off from a light"...I never said a stage II 09 is the FAZZSTEZZZ, I said it would sneak up on more people than you think and I think by its body style and power output can be rightfully considered a sleeper, I also said that Legacy and foresters and hatches make even more believable sleepers.

I have only made valid points. You say 12's are becoming more common amongst street cars and I agree...so instead of 1% of the cars on the road now its 2%...cool story bro, but you seem to think your definition of sleeper and HP rating is the end all, where I think there are varying degrees and levels of sleep...but I'm a honda kid i guess, so now I'm going to gut a 95 hatch and drop in a Frankenstein K20 head on a k24 block, add street slicks on the front and shiiit all over you (my friend has a mid 10 second honda that quite honestly scares the poop out of me)

quit being all BUTT HURT and lets enjoy some pictures.

Thats a sleeper in my book, not the most HP, but it can probably hang with more peeps than you think. NICE JOB.

I love it when the outside is kinda beat up and ordinary, but the engine bay is decked out and anodized, coated etc.

how fast was that guy going!!! biked maxed around 185ish and the Volvette was still pulling like a banshee, I predict around 200-205 mph, I'm sure aerodynamics were playing a part by this point

im not sure I trust that bike speedo, could have changed gearing with his sprocket teeth. I dont think the Volvette has the aerodynamics to be able to pull 205, maybe though.

This is my OBSleeper, it has a 1994 WRX closed deck 2.0L w/a td05 16g, 2004 WRX 5spd box, H&R coilovers, Wilwood 6/4 BBK all in a 350,000 mile old 95 OBS. Still need to paint the wheels silver and install my 25D fuel rails and STi yellows, then get a RobChip and I should be in the 280whp range.

350k victory donuts!
