Question Legacy Turbo Identification...

OK, since you Legacy guys are sharper than the average Impreza owner I need your help identifying if a turbo I have is off an old Legacy Sport. I was told by the guy that gave it to me that it was from an old Subaru 2.2, but I don't know how reliable his word was. Here's the particulars:

Turbo.Spec. VI34 8606
Serial No. RHB5 17269A
PartsNo. 8941582451

AND, if this turbo interests any of you, please email me...

From what I know the subaru turbo part number is 14412AA070 .

Im pretty sure this is an IHI turbo from a 90-92 Isuzu Impulse AWD RS Turbo. Pretty cool car, in some ways better than the turbo legacy.

here is a 91

I bet you could EASILY sell this to a geo storm owner. The Geo Storm and the Isuzu Impulse are exactly the same car. Many engine swaps. Outside plastic are different. There are quite a few sleeper storms out there, not to mention the even faster sleeper impulses.

Talking

No way!!! I was actually looking for an Impulse RS before I bought my first 323 GTX Those things are impossible to find, but one of the few AWD Turbo gems of the late-80's/early-90's.

Thanks for the info. I'll try poking around some Isuzu places to verify.

Does it look EXACTLY like this picture attached? The 2.2 Legacy Turbo has a custom compressor outlet.

No, mine doesn't look like that; i have mailing tape on it... But seriously, the oil line points look all different. I'll have to check out an Impulse turbo.

But if anyone's interested in a custom turbo setup, i'm open to offers. Turbo is in good original shape and has been cleaned up.
