they're seats out of the prodrive p1. basically v6 sti seats (i think) with a different cover.

i talked to a guy a subaru and he said there was only leather in 2002 and some car's with that option package

I'm guessing what he means by "dealer installed" was that it is something you buy separately from Subaru and is installed by the dealer, but is not an option on the car's spec sheet. Parts from SPT would be an example of this (As would NISMO parts for Nissan)

He means that Subaru never offered leather seats in 02. The dealer installed means they either threw leather covers on the stock seats or had some made. Those seats you have were actually a group buy here on nasioc about 4 or 5 years ago.

^ yep, all of those leather seats on 02-05 = aftermarket.
I believe starting with the 06 Limited they added factory leather for WRXs.

They are done by upholstery shops for the dealer. I can guarantee if you compared your "stock leather" to the same from another state it will be noticeably different because the factory doesn't offer the option. I worked for a couple dealerships where id have to write stock units in for service to have the interiors done. Door cards and headliners too.

haha yeah, probably. Paulie has that WRC look, not the super rare jdm stuff that some of the rest of us go for.
