... Great to hear about the good week for business too!! I've gotta think of a number that I really want to get and will have to pull the trigger when it comes to that one ... It's all gonna depend on how many you sell though. If you end up selling a TON (which I hope you do) then I'll just get whatever I can get. Or maybe put a downpayment on a specific number down the road... Who knows, I can't wait to see one of these going though! And I love the way the current build is going. It's actually almost exactly how I'd want mine (color, wheels, etc)...I'd love to learn more about the Exobusa too (without threadjacking )... Who knows, for what I'm planning to use it for IT may be a better option for me... LOVE the idea of a high revving NA motorcycle engine in the back of one of these though!!Last edited by GreenMarine; 08-24-2012 at 12:43 AM. |

It's hard to tell from the picture, viewing it on my phone. Maybe give your heat gun another go - or worst case we'll just paint to match the panels.

I was in the area for business yesterday so I stopped in to see Danny and my car. Man is his shop packed out!
We discussed the paint work on the car and decided to just use a satin black for the hood and side pod inserts instead of the carbon fiber wrap. It will be much easier to define an exact line with paint to seperate the green and black on the small radius areas of these body panels rather than trying to do it with the wrap and a heat gun. The main color is still the new Camaro "Synergy Green" but the center section of the hood and side pods will be satin black. The fenders and the headlight housings will also be painted satin black to match. I know Danny hates fiberglass work but wait till you see what he creates for the fenders and headlight housings. I have given him creative freedom in his designs because that is how he works best. I doubt that any other TR-42 owner will want to go to the expense to have these one-off items but I am to the point where I just don't care what it costs for some items because there aren't any off the shelf items available that will give the car the look I want. So, watch and see Danny work his magic as he finishes some of these final items. And . . . then on to the exhaust! (Danny - spot light is on and you're center stage) Last edited by hipowernut; 08-31-2012 at 02:21 PM. |

I had approached our automotive division at McGard (I work for McGard's Special Products Division - non automotive security stuff) about placing the car in our SEMA booth for 2011 but obviously that was premature since they wanted to see the finished product. I didn't try for 2012.

Hey Marty/Pook,
Quick question regarding your turn signal switch & stalk. Are you using a 1" wide stalk and if so where did you find the signal switch to fit. Everything I see on-line fits a 7/8" wide bar only. Or did you folks modify the switch case to fit the stalk?? |
