Default JrTuned's 04/08 XTi start to finish .. Well almost finished

This is how I picked up my Foz this time last yr. ... Having owned a few boring non XTs and 2 plain XT's after a weekend at the track with Mr. 4or2Wheels I ended up picking up this 04 XT that was hit in the front with the intentions of building what I always wanted..

First step was the body shop.. I Opted for the 2008 Sport front end. Dave @ Metric Subaru took care of me on everything.. If you need OEM Subaru stuff.. Dave is the man to go to!

Fresh from the Body Shop

Roughly the next day

Fresh detailed

Then I blew the stock 4EAT messing around

After blowing up the trans I picked up a 2007 STI from the auction

My XT lost all the OEM driveline , no subframes etc..

And the swap progressed ...

Brembo Goodness

ShainZ getting it done.

6spd, STI subframes, streering rack, control arms F+R, everything from the rear installed as well... Everything from the 07sti is in the XT now.

I have pedals and a shifter trim

After this it was all done and ready to drive.. Or not. I ran into wiring issues and the car sat for a few months.

Shainz figured out the wiring and we were off to the track for some fun with the VF43.

First pass out we go 12.4
Next pass out we go 12.2

All on 93oct with a turboback, panel filter and JrTUNE

Ended up with a broken Vf43.. Probably had a rough life on the original 07 STI

We swapped out the VF43 for a fresh 39, Tomie header, tail EWG setup, and E85 tune
11.8@113MPH with a Vf.. Puts me at 3rd/4th place for a stock VF Pwrd STI (its basically an 07 sti with a XT body) and 5-6th all time VF pwrd.. Not bad for a 3500lb toaster

Thanks D!!

So I had my fun with the XT and I did what I had set out to do. I ended up with a freak show bent rod No broken stock piston or anything... Just one bent rod!!

So I built this on Saturday and Shainz(ROMAN) and TRAMIX (Vince) through it in on Sunday for me.

Currently putting some miles on it before I go shooting for the VF record. WITH A FORESTER

Yea we are doing that next... Just wanted to get it to the strip a few times before winter hit us. Dash and full STI wiring are getting swapped in soon. Also going to have LightModz do a HID retro and some other cool things to the headlights and I will be adding the sport wing to the back, been sitting around collecting dust.

Awesome build and nice driving. Being able to run through those lights in 4th helps tremendously.

Sleeper Foresters are things that I make me giddy.

around 12k for a good running 07 with salvage title.

The VF overall record.. Its 11.6X.. I doubt I will get close to the 120-21mph that the lite weight WRXs put up on the VF, but if I can get 116-118mph out of it I know I can go 11.5s
I might just pull the seats and try to get it to 3350lbs with me in it. That should help get me some ET and MPH
