Default <-------Tire noob

I currently have 5 zigen rims with "Sunny sn3800 225/40zr18 92W XL" on my 02 wrx wagon with , I want something with a little more meat(absorb more of the impact of harsh roads) and a lot less road noise. Any suggestions?
Thanks

sell your 18s and buy a set of 16s or 17s if you want a better ride.

Check tirerack.com

they happen to sponsor nasioc, and they also have a TON of info about tires on their site.

If you want a quick and dirty answer, get some 16s with 205/55/16 tires (stock size) that are more regular, all-season, passenger car type tires. Higher performance tires tend to be louder and more harsh due to stiff sidewalls and grip-is-all-that-counts treads.

You also said brands, so I say BFGoodrich. I always like their tires, and Yokohamas too. Oh ya, Kuhmos too.
