Yes. Factory Sti coolers are not angled and are straight up and down. Because they still utilize coolant to control temp the same coolant lines on the 06 07 wrx cooler should line up fairly well with the Sti cooler. You may need new rubber line at best

Btw Sti coolers are kinda expensive. You can get a legit cooler kit with a core for the same as a new Sti cooler. At that time you would still have to either bypass the coolant lines.

That works too. Either way the filter/cooler is the only thing that gets in the way.

And just to answer any other lingering questions it does fit with an aftermarket oil cooler for sure. I just fitted a glow shift sandwich plate to the car with -10 line. Fits like a charm.

I sold my 2008 that this header was installed on, header now has about 55k miles with no issues. Since Azn2nr is going twin scroll I will be taking his and putting it on my 2013 Sti.

Has anyone wrapped the HKS header's before install? Wonder if it would make them more prone to cracking? Definitely a great price with a bigtime name in performance and JDM...

this header will fit any triangular pan'd wrx/sti from 05-11.

on wrx 06 and 07 WRX ONLY you will need to remove the oil cooler and cocking bracket pictured together here

the cocking bracket is pictured by itself here

and make it look like this here

to do this you will need to blockoff or bypass the coolant line that runs into the oil cooler as well as aquire an N/A oil filter bolt. blocking off requires you to tap the water pump or ghetto rig a plug. the bypass just requires cutting the hard line bracket off which ends up looking like this here (displayed with N/A oil filter bolt)

finished product

Thanks for this. My 06 forester xt has the same oil cooler and without finding this post i would have given up on installing the headers.
