Default Odd Ball Tire Brands Wanli, Sunny, Doral etc.

What's up with these tire brands? I previously posted a thread comparing Hankook to Kumho, but now I'm seeing these weird tire brand come up on some sites. $64 a tire is good. I know I shouldn't be cheap because tires are so crucial to a car, but if these are good then why not?

Sunny: http://www.sunnytire.com

Wanli: http://www.wanlitires.com

Venezia: http://www.veneziatires.com

Doral doesn't seem to have a site, but from what I've read their made by Sumitomo which sounds promising

What are you using the car for? If you're just going to be driving in a straight line, any of those tires will probably work OK, but I'd stick with a more well known brand.

Daily agressive driving. I think I'm going to go with Nexen tires. It's another Korean brand. I have read really good things about them.

Are the Doral tires somehow affiliated with Doral cigarettes?

The only non-mainstream cheap brands I'd rock are federal and general. Try www.onlinetires.com.

back when i worked at a wheel and tire shop we got a batch of wanli's in. they weighed a good 5lbs more than any other tire and no joke, had 1/4" of runout on the balancer. i dont care for federal or nankang either, but they are much better than the wanli's.
