I need one of these too...I've searched all over the whole internet and I can't find a listing for one to save my ass. I'm hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction.
Really, I don't even need the entire cable. I just need the fitting at the transmission end that has the "adapter" doodad in it. Those of you that have messed with these cables will know exactly what I'm talking about. The flat blade (on mine) that goes down into the drive gear inside the transmission has broken off. I need that piece.

The fitting on the transmission end of the cable has an adapter of sorts in it. That flat blade isn't actually attached to the cable. Its part of the adapter. The cable fits into the adapter via a standard square drive, like all speedometer cables and is then adapted to that flat blade deal. I may end up manufacturing a new one out of some flat stock. We'll see.

Oh god, it's a bitch to fix.
Buy it new from the dealer, the P/N depends on year, but here is an online database of all parts for your impreza. http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/us_g10/ Select your model, trim and there you go. Get the P/N go to a dealership or cross it on ebay for maybue you could be lucky and get a BARGAIN. Good luck! |

Thanks for the link, I already got the parts I needed to fix it...and I really didn't find it that hard. In fact, I honestly believe that most any Subaru car is probably easier to work on than just about any other make or model of car.
