The wheels are very new. The Superlaps were just released in July with minimal inventory stateside. I would hope the stickers are replaceable with proper documentation.

OK, the moment we've all been waiting for!
Stock vs. Cobb OTS vs. Cobb Pro Tuning Results on STOCK car! Forged Performance has been a Cobb Pro Tuner for a few years now across the entire array of Cobb support cars: Subaru, Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi, and Mazda. So naturally, we looked to the Cobb AP as the best solution. I can't think of another company that has invested as much time, and resources supporting the Subaru community than Cobb tuning...some of the smartest people in this industry work there, and it's great to have those resources at our disposal. ![]() I had a feeling the OEM tune was horrible, based on how the car performed on the track and street. So I wasn't expecting a whole lot from the baseline. As most of you know, our Dyno Dynamics AWD Dyno reads very low. Bone stock, we put down just 196whp I then loaded up the Cobb Stage1 93 octane OTS map and the car made 238whp, and had a terrific looking power and AF curve. In the final step, I prepared a custom calibration for this specific car. Althought I've tuned many dozens of Subaru's, this it actually the first time I've tuned a BONE STOCK STi...really wasn't sure what to expect. Nearly maxing out the WG's netted my 19psi peak pressure and a taper to 15psi, and 256whp/301lb/ft Below, you will find an assortment of dyno charts for your viewing pleasure. Next up....Whiteline and GT Spec Suspension components. Wow! As amazing as it is that you picked up 60 hp from a stage 1 tune, I'm shocked that the OTS map picked up 40 and that AFR looks sooooo nice.
I have an AP and don't even have my STI yet, but had debated holding off on using the AP until I could get around to protuning it. However, based on this, I think I may just roll around on the OTS map for awhile. Can you clarify after loading the OTS map, how long until you took that pull? I think the DAM defaults to 1 on the OTS map, right? So there isn't any learning that needs to take place to get numbers? (asking so I can dyno baseline + OTS) Last edited by scooby24; 12-13-2010 at 06:16 PM. |

DAM to 1. All good...no learning needs to take place. Of course STFT's and LTFT's will fluctuation slightly over time, just like they otherwise would. Last edited by Forged Performance; 12-14-2010 at 01:42 PM. |

Because if they did, they would have to raise the price and dont think that people would buy it...personally, I think that if they slapped Recaros and insane Volk rims on it...they would probably sell just as many because 90% of the people that buy this car end up upgrading these areas so why not sell a car that is built the way that people want it!?

no matter what a car comes with stock, 45% of the buyers will hate something about it and change it later on anyways. im still laughing at all the retards on every forum who swear by the hatch looking better/more functional/practical are slowly but surely succumbing to the new sedan. its like people are just sheep these days they'll conform to anything. if this sedan model came out back in 08' it would have been a top seller without a doubt. this model should have been first AND THEN they offer the hatch as a side model. but thats just me

i would really like to see this get a feature in one (or all at this point) of the import mags out there.....i.e. DSPORT, Modified, Import Tuner, Super Street, etc.
i have yet to see an issue with a modified 2011 sti yet. |

Speaking of suspension...haha...just got some high res shots back rom our Road Atlanta test day couple weeks ago. The body lean is so severe you could change the oil cresting at Turn 3.
