Default What does 16 flashes mean

So I got ran off a winter road today, it took me quite a bit to get it out, a little bit of full throttle forward and reverse. And i got a little poof from under the hood, no big deal it made it out.

Anyways the car is a 93 turbo auto, running 13pounds of boost water to air intercooler and 3" turbo back exhaust.

I wouldn't be heart broken if the tranny had to go or the center diff, I just hadn't planned on doing right now. Any idea what 15 or 16 flashes of the green power light on the dash means on start up? I'm dying to know cause the car doesn't move on it's on power anymore, it takes like half throttle before it surges forward, and as quick as that comes on it's gone, also putting it back in park sounds like something grinding, so I quickly turn it off.
I checked the tranny fluid looks good doesn't smell burnt, front diff fluid looks okay too.

Any ideas?

The 16 flashes is just the default number to let you know there's a problem. You have to perform the diagnostic check to determine the actual code.

I'd suggest trying both test procedures, and then reset the TCU to see if the same code comes back right away.
