Default Pad and Rotor comb?

What is a good pad and rotor combo?? DBA 4000, 5000 street series?
Stoptech? I'm also trying to find pads with very little dust to match with the chosen rotors. Hawk? Just give me some suggestions. I'm thinking maybe slotted only. I'm open minded about the situation so any input helps. Thanks.

+1 Go for the HP Ceramics for the low dust...trade of is they squeal when cold.

KNS Brakes in the national vendors gave me a great price on pads. Check out their thread for packages.

Nah, I need one a little more stealth. If I pull that one out and pop it open in the wrong part of town I might get stabbed. All because I was trying to keep my rotors in place with my rotor comb.

I love my HAWK HP+ but they dust and squeal like crazy....(which drives me nuts, but when I want brakes...I got em...)

and don't forget some good Brake Fluid if yours is a little old...

With some off-brand slotted steel rotors & HP+ pads...and after 30k miles I am starting to get additional racket & pedal feedback from the slotted rotors..

Yeah I don't like the dust and I don't want any noise.

I don't find that I have any noise with my Hawks. Again, I don't drive my car as often as you guys probably do, but I do have about 20k miles on them (and the pads) and they are fine. I do get a somewhat decent amount of brake dust on my wheels, but I usually just give them a good wipe down and they're good.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but simply one of the best brake upgrades you can look at would be SS lines. They make a world of difference.

I already have the SS lines. My car is a daily driver so I need the set up to be reliable.

I like the Hawk HPS pads. They don't dust too bad. As for rotors, I've got DBA on the STI and OEM on the RS.

If you also want to make them easy to clean up, try Michelin™ Brake Dust Repellent. That stuff works pretty well.

i have no idea what kind of Hawk pads i have on the brembo set up (oliver aka yourmotherslover might know) but they stop freakin awesome. downside is they leave my wheels nearly black with dust.

haven't heard them squeal yet and they have seen all kinds of climate change here latley.

I can't remember which ones are on your car...all I remember is that they were the high grade race application (which = extra dust!)
