Default Mt Philo hillclimb this weekend 10/17-10/19/14

Hi folks,

Just a reminder that the Mt Philo hillclimb is this weekend. Mt Philo is located in Charlotte VT along Lake Champlain. Weather looks warm for a change.
Registration is still open, but online has closed. That means you must fill out paper the old fashion way. Follow the link for detailed info.

Never hillclimbed before? Give it a try. You'll need a SA2005 or SA2010 helmet(some british cert and fia certs qualify as well). You'll need an ABC fire extinguisher mounted with an all metal strap within drivers reach. Cage not required so long as you do not go quicker than 80 seconds up the hill. A semi experienced driver in a stock wrx with decent tires should be able to approach the break out time by the end of the weekend.
Don't want to run, but want to see the action up close? You can volunteer to work the course at the event. Prepare to be outside all day, avoid the color red, and bring a camp chair. We'll give you a hot lunch and the only spots to see the racing.
Hope to see you there.
Have questions, send a pm, or for even quicker response email me at sethachilles AT gmail.

This is a short hill, which allows for many runs. It's also easier to remember the course, which is a plus for a new comer. That being said, there are serious consequences if you deviate from the course. There are trees, boulders and drops that can destroy your car in the blink of an eye.
