however....take it to either an actual race track or something more than a quarter and diablo will own....I don't think they run that great in the 1/4 mile anyways, something like a mid to high 12, but not to be a bum, those are some baddy cars!

Default Somethings fishy

The first video an Impreza took a Diablo? Ok, maybe, maybe not.
Second video, a highly modded Z28. OK, the impreza didn't win this one? Next race, an M5, the quickest production sedan in the world, impreza won?

Diablo--wasn't running to well, or driver error?
Z28--Happened the way it should!
M5--Driver error?

Notice when they pass the camera man they are not going as fast as they should be for those cars?!

Doesn't make sense, the inconsistent runs. And yes, I did notice that there were two types of Imprezas?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?

I havent watched the videos, but you do realize that Byron had like 500+hp GC8, right? 500hp will beat 450hp + heavier car. It is entirely possible to have a 600hp ej25. Cobb tunning has the goal of 666hp out of the ej25.

While the M5 is pretty fast, stock it runs like a 13.3 quarter (4.8s 0-60). Some stock STis (especially R/RAs) run much quicker than that. A stock like 97-99 Type R will easily run the 1/4 in under 13 seconds. That might come very close to beating a Diablo, depending on the model. It's highly doubtful the M5 or Diablo are modified in any way, whereas the Imprezas can be modified fairly easily and cheaply. Remember, these aren't 2.5RSs from the US, they are more than likely 2800lb 280+ HP Impreza WRXs or STis. Cars never look all that fast in videos unless they are going at very high speed.

Ya, and a modified Z28 is no slouch. They can easily run in the 11's.

I think it's amusing when someone comes onto a foreign board and says: "Brand X car (which they own too) is way faster than your Subaru so it'll smash you no matter what."
When two cars are modded, you never know who will win. I could make a neon, new beetle, miata, mp5, etc. that could take down a Lancer or WRX STi. It just takes money.
BTW, neither of those Scoobies even looked to have a FMIC.

Whoa, thats pretty sweet. Those Imprezas will smack your face and call you a whore... Though we dont know what has been done to those cars.
I bet the Z28 would get own3d if they were racing on dirt....

Default Welllll?

Don't get me wrong I love my RS, but I'd still get a diablo if I could afford it. If I can afford to buy a Diablo then I could afford to mod it and then it would be just crazy fast and look nice too. But for now its the suby.

We're running Impreza Gt, wrx and sti models..The imprezas in all these videos are not sti they re all wrxs' or gt's.

WRXs are 244 hp, GTs' 218 hp, sti's 280 hp standart but they re heavily modified imprezas...

For the WRX, 244 at the crank or wheels?
