got that recently...great racing scenes. I found it quite funny that they "wrecked/burned/replaced" both the evo and the WRX and kept reusing the same cars!

Yeah, that is pretty funny that they keep reusing the same cars. I guess Mines was only willing to contribute so many cars =). That's the Mines Skyline on the rack in Sky's shop, btw.

Best scenes:
The scene when the bad guy 'buys' his subie.

"This is a syringe..." Whoa, hard core!

The scene when all the subies pick him up from jail.

Funny though, that Evo had to run 2 bar of boost and two bottles of nitrous to beat a 1.5 bar subie? Yeeps! The tranny didn't seem to care, though

Regarding The Fast and the Furious, I have less hope in that movie. After seeing the "14 second with Nitrous Eclipse" (anyone see a trend of Mitsus needing nitrous? j/k), I think it might be kinda lame. There should be lots of great-looking cars, though!

That one Chan movie called "Who Am I" (I think that was the name of it) with the rally driver chick....that is a cool movie to. Taking the lancer down the stairs was a waist though... they musta broken so much stuff. Good stunt driving though.

It's DVD only, and I got mine at www.dvdexpress.com. Enjoy!

p.s. the BPM GT arrived today...dented and uncoated. Glad I waited six weeks and was lied to three times for this.

It isn't dvd only. I got the VCD (i love high speed internet!).. of course.. if i were actually BUYING it i'd chip in the extra $10 for the DVD.

and Vern!: you forgot 1 key word in your plot synopsis for Legend of Speed. it shoulda read "rich kid gets into trouble after his HELLA HOT girlfriend dies." i mean... Cecilia Cheung is a cutie.. but Ekin's girl who dies earlier is 1 hottie!

Yes HKBeef, she was quite a looker indeed.

Oh my gosh she was hot. Especially in that outfit during the opening credits.

I've already seen Fast and the Furious guys, and I wasn't that impressed. It's basically a carshow on film with a less than average plot.

I'd bet that Legend of Speed is more interesting.... but I've only seen the end race scene between the EVO and the WRX where the background starts to blur and the guy actually has the guts to look down at his laptop to engage the 2nd stage of his NOS while hauling like that...

I know that Thunderbolt is a better movie than Fast and the Furious though... I have it on VCD. If Jackie Chan US releases continue as they have, I suspect we'll see Thunderbolt re-released here as a dubbed movie...

Hey Phlypside, how did you see Fast and the Furious? Did you DL it online? If so, can I get the link, or if you use a program where people share movie files and stuff, then please send the link to that too. Thanks

They have been doing previews for car clubs all over the place, i suspect this is where he saw it. none of the big groups have released it on VCD yet, but as soon as it's out, i guarantee you i'll have it watch www.isonews.com in the VCD section.

WRXtreme:

It is just as Safir said, I saw it (The Fast and The Furious) in a pre-release screening on Wed. May 23rd.

I kid you not, it's a carshow on film albeit most of the otherwise interesting cars are ruined by terrible decals (probably best aimed at 3rd grade appeal--case in point, the "captain power" looking decal on the sides of an otherwise awesome Skyline R33 GT-R)

Isonews is just that, a news site. there is nothing to download there, it is just a reference to know when something is released.
As of right now, noone has released a bootleg version of TFATF on vcd, but watch the site and when a group does, it will be on there.

back on topic, i Really liked both movies, they both have their own charm, and both are worth seeing IMHO. I have the DVD of legend of speed on its way, and the OST for TFATF on cd as well. anyone who doesn't like the fast and the furious needs to step back and lok at the movie as what it is, entrtainment for car people, it is targeted at *******s, but they are car people too.

(i am sorry if my use of the "R" word offended anybody, i hate to use it but it is the best term in this instance.
