i was wondering if when using the JDM V7 trans and rear diff, if i am able to use any type of USDM hubs, and also which axles i would use?

ive heard i cant use USDM non-STi hubs based on the axles, but im not sure.

I used v7 spec c trans with v8 sti components but I needed to uninstall the stubs hanging out the front diff because of the male axles on the v8 stuff and get new seals. Search key words, there is tons of stuff to help like it did for me.

found a pic of the stubs I was talking about, if you weren't sure.

The stub is part number 38415AA110 and the circlip is part number 805329010.

That will help you out a bit.

You need to clarify what hubs you have. USDM 04 are 5x100 and 05-07 are the 5x114.3. IIRC JDM had 5x100 from 01-03 on their STi 6-spds...the others were 5x114.3mm. I always screw up model years with JDM stuff.

Regardless, JDM and USDM doesn't mean crap in reference to hubs as they've both had both

With that said, what hubs do you have?

The WRX front hubs work with STI 6 speed, however the rear differential and axles will not work with WRX rear hubs. You need STI rear hubs to utilize a R180.

Hope this helps.

For the rear i used a custom inner race to mate the R180 STI inner joint to a WRX shaft. check it out here:

As for front axles your WRX axles will mate to the V7 6 Speed.

would you sell me these custom inner race? if so, how much?

thanks!

dont really want to spend 1200 on rear axles, i can but the full JDM brake/hub assembly front and rear for that much.
