Question Replacing OEM 2006 Sti Tires

So my stock RE070's are just about worn out with 32k miles. Looking for some replacements right now and will be getting them within the next couple weeks.

I daily drive my car to work and back every day with about 25 mi. round trip. Aside from that I do the occasional spirited driving on some back roads through the hills so I would like to get something that is not too soft. I know the tread wear on the stock tires is pretty poor but these certainly lasted a while which makes me think I can get somewhat near the same tread wear and still have them last.

Road noise is not an issue since my car is pretty damn loud as it is and I live in San Diego so winter driving is fairly non existent.

My budget is around $600, any thoughts NASIOC?!

Preliminary choices are:

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110
Yokohama S.drive
Falken Ziex ZE-512
BF Goodrich g-Force Sport

$600 isn't going to cut it if you want to get into similar performance as the 070s. $800+ mounted and balanced will be more in the ballpark. Oh and, START DRIVING THAT THING!

bfg's were great on my prelude. $600 is a tight budget for a good performance tire.

Which comes to $700 after tax and mounting. OP that's a good deal. Just get those.

I dunno? I just went all the way to checkout and that's what it said. That sounds about right though.

I can definitely do $700 or maybe a little higher. But yes at discount tire where I have gotten tires before they are great and build in the mounting costs to the total price as another poster said above.

For the Hankook Ventus R-S3's they come to $695 out the door at a local shop. Looks like that might be my move!

Thanks for the input everyone.
