Default ALT forged 18x8, anyone have these? **PICS ADDED**

http://www.importimageracing.com/p/A...s-wrx-sti.html

Seems like a very good price for a lightweight 18x8. Anyone running these? Any pics or comments?

Thanks!

P.S. scroll down for pics

I'm not sure that $3200 is cheap for a set of wheels.

$799 shipped form a NASIOC vendor is cheap. That is for a set of 4.

^ this. $799 shipped for 18x8 is a good price for a decent cast wheel (rpf1, fn01r-c, etc), and a steal for forged!

i think the problem is that your operating off of out dated information that states that "Forged wheels are the ****, there lighter, stronger and better in every way, and that is why they're so expensive" this is not really the case any more, advan and enkei for instance make mostly cast wheels which are known for being very light and strong. so while yes a set of 18x8 wheels that weigh 18lbs for 800 is a good deal the fact that they're forged doesnt matter as much as you seem to think it does.

I never said it mattered that much, I wanted to know opinions from people who own these wheels. I've heard of many SSR wheels (forged) that have been horribly bent from potholes, but then again I've heard of the same for rpf1s (cast). I've personally owned a set of lightweight Konigs (cast) that I bent on the first pothole I hit (and it wasn't that hard of a hit, but at least it still balanced and held air).

What I'm trying to say is if these wheels are a good strong street wheel for the size and price they're a great deal. If they're wimpy, heavier than advertised, and have a crappy finish then you get what you pay for!
