Default 18x9 work emotions with -5 offset has anyone done it?

I have an 02 wrx and am looking for new wheels, a friend of mine has some brand new work emotions that she will sell me for way below cost, the problem is the bolt pattern is 5x114. The wheels are 18x9 +28 offset, the adapter i would need to put these 5x114 on my 5x100 car are an inch thick which is the equivelent to approximately the same as those wheels having a -5 offset. So the question is has anyone run a 9inch wide wheel with an -5 offset on an 02-05 wrx?

I have cusco zero2r coilovers with camber plates on the front ones and have camber bolts for the rear these will be going on before the wheels, i also will be rolling my fenders but i am hesitant to pull them, and i will be rocking stretched tires so let me know if you have heard of anyone with this kind of fittment.

You'll be poking 1.5". Buy the wheels, sell for profit!

if your going to get the wheels do a hub swap and then see if you can make it fit, ill put it this way i have 18x9s with a 35 offset an had to roll and pull my fenders a little with a 245/35 tire. -5 offset is not going to work without a lot of retarded fender mods probably involving a wench.

that will flat out not fit without a widebody, no matter how much you stretch tire.

Isn't an inch about 25.4mm? Wouldn't that make your wheel a +3? not that it matters...

The wheels you want would already look and work stupid on your car. The use of adapters would only make them even worse.
