Post 7/12 Cruise Night - West Chester, PA

Westtown Autopark Cruises are held every 2nd Friday night from 6:00 until 9:00 pm, from April through September. All makes welcome! This event draws good crowds and in May the import presence was much better than in the past. Let's try to get a few more Scoobies out here!

Imports are displayed at the Scott Honda lot and the Classics, Rods, Muscle Cars, etc. are across the street at Faulkner GM

Just south of West Chester at the Westtown Road exit of Rte 202
706 Autopark Blvd.
West Chester, PA 19320

Don't worry Carl I'll be there....we need more Scoobys there. At least you and I can represent the Aspen versions of WRX. Hope the weather holds out this time. Later, Rob

barring bad weather, I'll be there again. And unlike the last time, I won't have to bail early because of an 8:00 appointment.

The weather forecast looks fantastic! We will probably draw the biggest crowd so far this season.

Perhaps a little blast down Creek Road to Victory Brewing Company afterwards would be in order!

Thumbs up

Aaaah, Creek Rd. I set up the damping on my rally car suspension on that road. We ran an Audi "drive" up there, too. The people who live along there must hate me.

Mmmm, Victory. Just had a 1/2 barrel of Sunrise for a neighborhood party last weekend.

If I can talk him into it I'll bring my Impreza and my mechanic will drive the Celica this Friday.

I sure will try to be there. That Victory thing sounds wicked good. I was there a few weeks ago and one of the back roads that I took had a quarter mile chalked off on it. Hilarious.

I'll get there early and try to save an area so that we can park together. Space is going to be limited this month. Please, everyone, try to get there early.

I'll be there by six. If you can make it by 6:30, that should be fine.

Thanks for setting that up Carl! It was nice to see some of the other Subaru folks in the area.

I must say that, in a sea of slammed Hondas with Altezza taillights, the Subaru contingent was conservative, performance oriented and without a grain of the white stuff to be found!

Carl, the best version of the drive we discussed is at http://www.rallystuff.com/nov10drive.pdf

Jon,

Your comments are right on. We added a bit of understated class to the affair. I hope all you others enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for coming out.

The next one will be August 9th. Spread the word, I'd sure like to see us get to 12 -15 Subarus next month.

I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for Montreal. Should be a good run to check my gas mileage!

Later

Yeah I thought it was great meeting all of you guys...our Subarus that were represented were awesome in my opinion...they all had a little bit of something and nothing ugly or gawdy about em. Isnt it weird that our cars were probably the best street and track performers there and we were basically ignored by everyone else? I mean the few DSM's are about the only thing at the import show that would give us a run for our money, the hondas only had intakes and exhaust. The VW's were also nice and very non-rice too. Maybe we should dig up the parking lot next time and show off "The Beauty Of All Wheel Drive"...if that doesnt get their attention of what a Suby is/can do nothing will. See ya later, Rob

It's unbelieveable how many people ignored the turbo GC8 in lieu of the loud gaudy hondas with hydraulics. Sigh.

Nice, Meeting you guys. I will prolly come to the next one as well. Rob, Your exhaust sounds awesome! I can't wait to Stage 1. You inspired me to do the "Ground Mod". I will do it this week.

Later on.

Thanks for the compliment on the exhaust....I bought the stuff for the ground mod at Radio Shack... 8 gauge automotive wire and 24 karat gold ends for 8 gauge wire. Crimping the ends is hard...I just used a hammer I replied to the PM from your other user name...guess you will see it at work...See ya, Rob
