Default Will 225/50R17 fit a 06 wrx sedan?

Got a chance to grab some 225/50r17s for cheap for my buddy, will they fit a 2006 wrx sedan? Stock tires are 215/45r17 so these are a hair wider and taller. stock suspension btw

thanks

They will fit, but they might rub a bit in the rear. Did they come from a Forester or something? You're car might look a little funny with that size sidewall

you dont read do you? I have a stock 02 wrx suspension wise and was able to wedge 18x8 with a 235 under my arches. you wont have aproblem with 225's as far as 50 you will be a hair close but shouldnt be anything to worry about

a 50 series on a 17" wheel is too big. It will throw off your speedo + gearing, not to mention rubbing issues.
