Will it work? USDM MY02, JDM ECU/motor harness, Cosworth JDM 2.5

I'm struggling to wrap my head around a 2.5 swap for my bugeye.

Will this work if I get it tuned or am I missing something?

USDM MY02.....has stock EJ205
Cosworth EUDM/JDM EJ257 long block...it's DBC
JDM EJ207 ECU/motor harness
IA Performance AVCS wiring kit

If it does work and is tuned, would it have a chance in hell of passing emissions?

Yes I know the motor is expensive. So is a new car.

work yes

pass emissions nope

depending on the state the jdm ecu will never pass

Thanks Jaxx. Been doing some research on that....wonder if Missouri can read JDM ECU? Odd it's state to state.

Also been talking w/ Cosworth sales support. They pretty much agree.

"The engine can run properly assuming the wiring and sensors are connected with the ecu properly. You may a few check engine lights but most issues should be manageable." .....need KK3920 cams..."The cam sensor reads differently so this camshaft has the correct triggers to match". Something like COS-20007707 (EUDM/JDM, DBC, single AVCS, 2.5 w/ KK3920 cams)

Now to continue w/ the plans..... MUAHAHAHAHA!
