Default Throwout Bearing Play?

Hey guys,

When installing my new exedy stock replacement clutch, I bolted the clutch disc and pressure plate on fine and I tried the throwout bearing in the pressure plate just make sure it work since I'm using a new oem throwout bearing and technically an aftermarket clutch kit just the oem replacement one.

However, the issue is that the throwout bearing has about a 1/4" maybe a little less play, meaning it can slide forward and backward in the pressure plate a little less then a 1/4" or so. This happens with the factory oem throwout bearing (brand new) as well as with the new throwout bearing that exedy supplied.

Is this a normal amount of play or is the throwout bearing supposed to be tight against the pressure plate?

Here is two videos the first on is the new pressure plate and new oem throwout bearing.

The second video is the old pressure plate and the new throwout bearing that exedy sent with the kit. This bearing has the same affect as the oem one with the new pressure plate.
