Ordered some gauges a couple months ago after receiving an e-mail back from Rich. Took a couple days, but thats fine with me. He has always gone the extra mile to take care of me as a customer, and I like to support small businesses.

Default Great product

Just bolted up my 3" whisper catback on my 03 wagon this weekend. Great product, and even better sound! Very nice weld lines and very easy install.

We'll have them end of May, along with another new part. A new version of our V2 UEL Header that is setup for a factory uppipe(or any factory replacement).

The catback should be available in May. We're making it a hybrid setup, meaning you'll be able to buy the axleback and buy a midpipe later or vise versa. Its a hybrid in that the intermediate pipe will be 3" and expecting a full 3" downpipe, but it will mate to the axleback via 2.5"(smooth taper not an abrupt change). There is so little flow length left going into the axleback that we don't feel 2.5" on the axleback is going to be detrimental to flow unless you get to a real engine build. For STGII/SGTII plus we feel keeping the axleback 2.5" and giving 3" flow everywhere else is going to deliver the best combination of performance and low db level with a better sound character. We did this work on this exhaust many months ago but had a sourcing issue on the 4" double walled tips and then other products leap frogged it. I need to pull some video off my camcorded because I do have a sound bit I can share. As you can tell I'm already 2-3 days behind on things right now so I'll get that clip posted as soon as I can but it may not be till the weekend.
...

Any updates on when the full catback system will be available for the 08+ hatch?

Is MadDad MIA? I emailed the place twice and I got nothing back. I like the product and I'm ready to spend the money but the support is a bit concerning.

hmm, this isn't good. I was planning to place an order but if MadDad is just blowing people off, that's not right. What frustrates me is that I've dealt with them before and they were responsive but it seems that they blow hot or cold, depending on the time. They were on vacation supposedly last week but they should be getting back to people at this point. I am willing to cut people some slack but this type of behavior makes me not want to do business with them, out of principal. I'll give them until Monday and if they don't respond, I will move onto another vendor.

Hi guys,

Today is the first day I've been physically back in the office in 2 weeks. As some know from the auto responder we were closed for vacation earlier in the month. As soon as I got back I had to leave town for the entire week for unrelated work. This was unscheduled and unfortunatley it didn't leave me with any time to address a lot out outstanding emails/voicemails many of you have. We are going to get back to processing orders today and start chipping away at all the email/voicemail as well. Sorry for any inconvienience it may have caused some of you.

To answer the other question the new 2 bolt V2 Header without an uppipe is now in stock and can be used with a factory uppipe or any other standard replacement uppipe. We also just got in stock our new 2002-2007 200cpi metal substrate bellmouth downpipes.

Rich,

What would the ETA be on a 2004 WRX Wisper 3inch dual tip catback? Do you have any in stock?

Thanks!

Well since they were advertising for the first quarter of 2011 a sedan whisper exhaust... and they still don't have one... I guess its appropriate to say they did leave and never came back.

Our Sedan Whisper will be at our door for testing this time next week. It will be modular so you can buy just the dual axleback sections, axlebackes with midpipe or go full turboback. We need to road test it in all 3 of those variations to make sure the tone is right, so I can't you an ETA of general availabity because if changes are needed to the baffling to dial in the sound that will delay things, and it's already taken a countless number of months since we put this into our build plans. On the good news side there is finally an exhaust on its way that will be road testing.

I'm going to be looking for someone in my general area(MA.) for a couple of reasons. One, I really need to judge the sound. I think I am more picky about drone than many of our cutomers so the tone quality really needs to pass my ear test. Second, I need to judge any minor fitment adjustments I feel are needed. I really need to "see it" and "hear it" first hand. When it arrives I will take photo's and post up.
