Default How can i get brembo's to fit 17's?

This may seem like a dumb question but it is worth a shot. I have a chance to trade my 17 inch rims for some stock bbs off an sti straight up for mine, a great deal in my favor...problem being his brembo's are a bit too big for my wheel. Is it possible to get a spacer that will allow it to clear? or am i sol? id love to get these wheels if at all possible any help is appreciated

your wheel specs?

yes spacers will get you enough clearance for the brembo calipers, but how big a spacer he'll need none of us know...anything bigger than a 3mm spacer will require extended studs unless you go with spacers with built-in studs. only issue with built-in studs is if the spacer isn't thick enough, the oem studs will have to be trimmed so they don't hit the hub of the wheel.

still worth it to you?

Yeah it could work out even if studs need to be trimmed the guy trading is very savvy with working with metal does great welds and body work so it may not be too bad. Figuring out my wheels specs will be tough because they are generic I'll post pics to see if anyone can identify them

Installing wheel studs is easy, and can be done on all 4 corners in under an hour, with hand tools. Longer studs and wheel spacers are 100% as safe as stock wheels and stock studs too, so there are no worries there.

it's not the amount work, it's the amount of money required to get a set of wheels to fit...

You'll probably sink $100 or so into longer studs plus another $40 for the spacers.

I'm basically just guessing on costs here but I'd say thats relatively close to what it'll cost you.
