yep, about as pointless as playing hoops with a football bat.

Seriously Paul, I hope you brothers can work it out and compromise with each other to come play.

One of you could drive the Impreza and one the Forester and run on the ice BUT neither of you are going to be here the next two sundays anyway. You will be back east.

I agree, it woudl be very cool to see the Carter brothers out at the ice track. Seeing how they do on the ice, and having more AWD's out there to help have our own class.

Unfortuantely, and perhaps I am wrong on this, all I hear is "I dont have a car that would dominate everyone so I'm not coming out till I do"

Oh ok, Sorry I interpreted it wrong, as the excuses seemed to go from "sharing a car" to having a "pointless" car to now having to work.

Sorry work is that way for you, I know as I've done my share of OT and weekend work. Hopefully in the future your work schedules will allow you guys to make it out. As its an awesome time, whether in your Rally car or DD.

No sharing a car is not the problem. But work is difficult if not impossible for Marshall.

I didn't make the comment about horsepower, Nomad did. I didn't make the comment about work, bjcarter2 did.

I said my wagon would be pointless on the ice, which is true not because it won't "dominate" everyone, but because it would be reckless of me to put it out there wheel to wheel.

I'm not going to put my wagon out there and put other drivers in danger, I know it's limitations on slick surfaces, and racing on the ice would be one of them.

I already figured that I'd have to dial it back to wastegate boost to race on the ice, so it'd be quite noisy.

It is an AWD platform Paul, everyone is on non studded tires.

YOUR car doesn't have limitations and is far more capable than many of the other machines currently out there.

Are you saying you are the limiting factor that will be placing other drivers in danger?

I suppose it is good that you know YOUR limitations Paul.

I'm still searching for mine.

I COULD drive it for you and show you what its capable of!

Your argument is REALLY weak. Anything short of a Saturn V rocket motor is perfectly manageable out there on the course.

So which one in the picture are you? The vain, preening, scientologist, pretty boy or the idiot savant?

Just so I get this straight, and everyone else can follow along, you have access to four vehicles #1 Your own superfragalisticexpialadoshious Wagon, #2 the White Forrestor that you and Marshall used to Rally, a purpose built dedicated Impreza rally car, and #4 your dad is offering you BUMBLEBEE AND you are an excellent driver but you are not going to race on ice because it would be reckless and because of the danger to the other drivers?

If I have any of this wrong please clear it up….for all of us.

Paul, It is all in good fun. My goading is all tongue in cheek. Truly.

I will have your gifts for you at the fun runs tonight. Me, your brother, and whomever else wants to come can discuss this all over drinks tonight at my place afterwards. In good faith!

Do whatever you feel most comfortable with but don't be under any illusions. The performance of the car isn't the issue.

I wish I was as good looking and had as much money as Mr. Cruise.

I might pull this off though!
