Default Custom cat back exhaust, how to do the bends?

Well the obvious answer is get the piping mandrel bent. But the nearest shop with a mandrel bend machine is about 200 miles from where I live..I think. How much more of a difference is there in performance between mandrel bent or regular crush bent pipe on a WRX running 15 psi, I only need like 2 bends...they are not even 90 degree bends. I also heard it is pretty expensive to get mandrel bends done. My friend got them on his prelude for 300 dollars for two 90 degree bends on 2.5 inch pipe!

Have a Nice Day? how far are you from orlando?

A shop, PSI Racing, they do mazdas, but some of his customers
are subies and he showed me a 3" SS mandrel bent w/ hi-flow
cat w/ muffler and for 750 not to bad.

when you crush the pipe obviously you chnage the flow characteristics froma smooth circular passage to a elongated
irreagular passage, often causing some restrictions. the key
term is "some restrictions" but if you were trying to milk every
pony out of your exhaust then I would do a day trip.

Its not the trip Im worried about...its the $$$$$. All I need is a universal muffler welded in place and 2.5 inch pipe (doesnt even need to be stainless, galvanized would be fine) ran from the last cat and out the back to the muffler. Could you possibly email me the phone # from that shop in jax? I am in Eustis. Its about 20 miles north of downtown orlando. The only other one I know of is North Tampa Customs in Tampa (obviously)

There are no serious bends in the cat back exhaust so any loss of the diameter from a crush bend will be negligable.

Usually the muffler shops can make the bends with a pipe bender
here is a pic of the borla you can see that it should be ok
there was a place here doing them for 300 bucks installed
