My 255/40 Nitto NT-05 look a little beefy and my 245/45 blizzaks look a little stretched but each brand of tire will be a little different. I think most 245's will fit pretty good.

I'd probably do a 245, a 235 will be stretched on a 9. My Blizzaks are and they are a 245 but i think they run a tiny bit narrower then most street tires. I would bet they are just a little wider then the 235's.

here's my 255's, sorry i didn't have any pictures with my snow tire on.

Absolutely nothing less than 245/40/17. Preferably 255s.

Nexens are trash.

I dunno about nexens being trash. I actaully liked them more then the $600+ bridgestone potenzas that come stock. The nexens lasted longer and only ran me $65 each mounted and balanced.

nexens are probably the worst tires i've ever had on my car - they didn't last a week.

what offset of the wheels? that is going to play a major role in how wide of a tire you can go.

What size and offset are your rims? I just got 17x9 +30 rota grids and was wondering what I should run on these.

Those are too low of an offset.

mine are a 17x9 +38, I'm on coilovers with fenders rolled and 2 degrees of camber front and back. I had some rota p45r's in a 17x9 +25 and they didn't' fit very well and rubbed with 245's. if you are doing +30 you will need to be on coilovers, fender rolled and pulled a little with lots of camber and stretched tires, maybe even 225's. That's a waste of a wide wheel if you ask me.

depends on how willing you are to permanently modify your fenders.

(its shocking that people buy "aggressive" wheels with no idea what it actually takes to put them on their car).

That offset will negatively affect handling characteristics, reduce tire choices, and the reliability of the car.

So what's the general consensus here? Return these rims to wheeldude if I even do that? I didn't want to put massive 18's on my car.

I guess it depends on how determinded you are to fit the. You can do it, my brother has 18x10's +20's and spacers, i'm not sure what size, on his wrx but it wook some work to fit them. If you don't have access to a shop, fender roller and all the other supporting mods it will suck .

What do you have done to the car?

Suspension wise? Nothing yet I have BC br coilovers shipping to me at the moment. And I have stiffer sway bars awaiting installation of the coilovers.

Wow so after calling wheeldude they can't be returned but I found out that the +30 offset I was told it had is a lie and they are +42mm is this better or worse? Sorry for the confusion before. And thank you guys for all your help.

Well if you keep the wheels, plan on a fender roll and pull, and running stretched tires. Also make sure you have camber plates front and rear, you will need to dial in the camber to keep from rubbing.
