split the room with 3 others and your lodging wil be about 100 for the 4 nights.
thursday breakfast at SOA free
friday holiday inn breakfast free, lunch at SIA free, dinner at TiC free
saturday holiday inn breakfast free
sunday holiday inn breakfast free

the breakfasts at the hotels prob wont be full blown meals but what do you expect for free at a hotel. i do know most holiday inn expres hotels do have eggs, pancakes, bacon, ect buffet style.

only other cost will be fuel which is normal. be thankful you are not driving my sti at 8-10mpg at best or my excursion with a 7.3L diesel and 44 gallon fuel tank.

is the trip "cheap" not really but if you and a buddy split the costs its not really that bad.

I can just join for the trip from Lafayette down to TiC correct? I can even lead the way for that section! Lafayette to TiC is a trip I make often!

PM me if that is cool and I will make my donation in a day or two!!!

Just a question that has been tickling at the back of my mind. Is there any place where we can find other participants who are looking for "roommates?"

i have a question as well: if possible could one drive up to TiC and make an in-person donation?

i can't pre-register because i'm not sure if my car will be ready or not

i'm for sure going to try and make the entire journey next year though

Just as a heads up for those folks who can't make this year's event due to needing advanced planning... NEXT Year's Event The 11th Annual 48hrs of Tristate will be Jan 12-15, 2012, so mark your calendars for that!

Potential Sponsors/Vendors: If you would like to donate anything to the raffle this year or next year, please e-mail markr@48hrs.info or marks@48hrs.info It's a great way to get additional exposure to the Subaru Community.

we will accept donations along the route where ever we are. but in order to get into SOA, SIA you MUST preregister. as far as TiC if you want to be able to eat some of the food and get in on the 15% discount sale, you also need to register.

it dosent really matter what "car" you would use.

One thing to note about fuel costs is that at no other time during the year do I ever get as good fuel mileage as I do on this trip. I don't know how others drive their car but I constantly get ~18mpg when driving my car daily.

On this trip I usually see 25mpgs because the groups stick close to the speed limits.

sure is! just register and answer the questions you will be asked during the process. the 2 main ones for you are, where will you be starting your trip with us and where will you end.

another reason we want all people to register is help us know who should be there and that we havent lost anyone

$13,959.88
last years donation total was $34,306.
we are hoping to better that donation this year but we need your help in doing that. you can register as a virtual participant and for every $10 you donate you will get a raffle ticket. when you register as a virtual participant i will get an email from ACS and you will have a "race number" assigned. that number will be put on the back of the raffle ticket and placed into the pot with the rest of them. if your ticket is drawn we will note what you won and email you. items other than gift certificates will be up to you to pay for shipping.

Well, it was uncertain at first, but I found a relative who wants to go with me! We'll meet you guys at the Atsion Ranger Station and stay with the group until Saturday. I can't wait!
